Overview:

I developed a full-phased algorithm to predict color consumption for Thanbee Printing Plant Ltd, a T-shirt printing company, to optimize resource usage and reduce wastage in their printing operations. Using Photoshop, I calculated the intricate design areas on T-shirts with an accuracy greater than 99.5%. This algorithm allowed the company to predict color usage more effectively before the actual printing process, leading to cost savings and improved production efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead Developer: Led the design and implementation of the color consumption prediction algorithm.
  • Utilized Photoshop to calculate the area of intricate T-shirt designs with over 99.5% accuracy.
  • Developed an algorithm that integrated these calculations to predict color usage prior to printing, optimizing the process and reducing waste.
  • Delivered the solution and trained the team at Thanbee Printing Plant Ltd to adopt the new system into their operations.

Tools & Technologies:
  • Languages: Matlab, Python
  • Other Tools: Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft Excel

Current Progress:

The color consumption prediction algorithm was successfully completed and implemented at Thanbee Printing Plant Ltd. The company now uses the algorithm regularly to predict color usage before printing, improving accuracy and reducing material waste.

  • Milestones: Algorithm successfully implemented and in use by Thanbee Printing Plant Ltd.
  • Achievements: Achieved over 99.5% accuracy in predicting color consumption, leading to cost savings and enhanced production efficiency.
